The crowd cheered and thousands of Americans sat glued to their televisions. Meanwhile E-roc sprayed gheri curl activator in his hair as he prepared to go on stage as Vanilla Ice's top dancer during the 1990 American Music Awards. Yet even after this thrilling moment, E-roc felt there was something missing in his life. It was then when E-roc rededicated his life to serving Christ through music.

“I heard a little voice say to me `what are you doing?'” said E-roc. “It was then that I dropped it all, and I left the rest to God.”

E-roc, born in Vahalla, New York, grew up in the church. He excelled in academics and athletics. He actively participated in basketball, football, baseball and track. He was nicknamed “The Rapper” in Euless High School where he became class president. As his popularity grew, he fell away from Christ.

“I knew I was it,” said E-roc. “I was the bomb. I left God out of my life.”

His wave of success was still forming as E-roc earned a scholarship to West Point, and ranked in the top 1% of minorities on his SAT scores. After one semester at West Point, E-roc entered a dance contest sponsored by 103 JAMS Radio in Dallas and was placed on the “Mix”, a selection of the best dancers in the city. From there E-roc performed in the Hammer World Tour, worked as a dancer for Vanilla Ice, and starred in the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II. During his adventures around the world, E-roc composed rap music. E-roc stated that after he rededicated his life to Jesus he started leaving his lyrics to God.

“After I rededicated my life to God all I wanted to do was praise Him,” said E-roc. “So, I started to do it through my Rap Music.”

In 1994, E-roc performed more concerts than anyone in the Christian Music Industry. E-roc completed his ninth year in Christian Music Industry in 1998. His success continues as Diamante, top distributor for Christian Music, says that E-roc is the biggest seller in East Coast Style Christian Rap.

“He has done so much but he is still very humble,” says Knolly Williams, longtime friend and Grapetree CEO. “All he talks about is Christ, but he doesn't do it in a preachy way. He is a straight-up Christian, rooted in Christ.”

Presently, E-roc speaks to students around the world about peer pressure, the negative affects of drug abuse, and salvation through Jesus Christ.
